03 — The six sections

Start Here
Your child has asked for Pokemon cards and you have no idea what any of it means. This section exists for exactly that.

What to Buy
There are eight ways to buy Pokemon cards and they are not interchangeable. Here is what each format contains, who it suits, and which one to start with.

Binders
A binder is the single most useful thing you can buy a new collector. It is also the easiest place to get it wrong in a way that damages cards.

Sleeves & Toploaders
Four products that look similar, do completely different jobs, and are not interchangeable. This is which to use when.

Storage & Display
A binder holds the cards worth looking at. This is for the other nine hundred, plus the handful you want on a shelf.

Starter Decks & Playing
Most Pokemon cards get collected, not played. If someone wants to play, almost none of the usual products will let them.
04 — How this site works
There is no lab here and we do not open boxes for review. Our picks come from published specifications, manufacturer contents and retailer listings, and every checkable fact is cited on the page.
Every roundup shows the metrics we scored against and the score each product got. You can read the rubric and disagree with the weighting — which is the point of publishing it.
We print no prices and no ratings we cannot verify, and there is no 'limited stock' or 'selling fast' anywhere. Price and availability live on Amazon where they are actually accurate.
There are no customer testimonials on this site because we have none to publish. An empty section is better than an invented one.

07 — How this is funded
Pull & Binder is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. When you buy something after clicking one of our links, Amazon pays us a small percentage at no extra cost to you. That is the entire business model — there is no paid placement here, nobody pays to be included, and no manufacturer sees a page before it is published.
Where a product is not worth buying, we say so, including products we would earn on. That is not generosity: a site that recommends the wrong binder is a site nobody comes back to.
In plain terms
